IN MEMORIAM
In 1995 I created series of stereo art graphics under the motto "See The Future Now".
One of them was dedicated to Sofia as I imagined it after 100 years.
As iconic symbol of the future progress and economic prosperity of Bulgaria
in the 21st century, I also included the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center
in New York, standing out behind the facades of National Theatre - Sofia, Bulgaria
and the Bulgarian Pavilion at the World Expo in Osaka, Japan in 1970.
Unfortunately, during the first year of the new millennium, on the crisp morning of
September 11, 2001, the optimistic prospects for the future were clouded by the cruel reality.
Like the Phoenix, the Twin Towers will rise again from the ashes.
